Assessment & Accountability

Coordinate state-mandated assessments (SBAC, PARCC, state-specific), AP/IB exams, SAT/ACT, and NAEP sampling. Manage testing logistics: room assignments, proctor training, accommodation scheduling for IEP/504 students, make-up testing windows. After scores arrive, disaggregate results by subgroup (race, ELL, SWD, economically disadvantaged), compare against state proficiency targets, and build improvement plans for schools and departments that miss AYP or accountability benchmarks.

Design and administer formative assessments — exit tickets, benchmark exams, common assessments — that give teachers actionable data between high-stakes tests. Lead PLC (Professional Learning Community) meetings where teachers analyze student work, identify misconceptions, and adjust instruction. Manage the assessment calendar so teachers aren't over-testing. Train staff on using data protocols: item analysis, error pattern analysis, student growth percentiles.
